RESULTS OF THE BALLOT
The online consultation conducted from March 3rd to March 31st turned out to be very successful again: 85 out of a total of 94 delegates responded (90.43 %), representing 439 of a total of 454 votes (96.70 %)
I’m glad to inform you that all candidates were accepted with a large majority and we’d like to thank you for your cooperation.
The BoD bids the new societies heartily welcome.
1) TEATRUL DE MAGIE (Romanian Federation of
Illusion and Magic), Romania
President: Mr. Andrei TEASCA
The society was founded in 2009, has 12 members and was supported by the:
· Bulgarian Magic Union
· Academy of Magicians, Greece
It will be represented in the General Assembly by 1 vote.
YES : 414. 91,19% NO : 3. ABS : 22
2) A.M.I.R. (ASOCIATIA MAGICIENILOR SI
ILUZIONISTILOR DIN ROMANIO), Romania
President: Mr. Dan BUCKFING
The society was founded in 2007, has 34 members and was supported by the:
· Artistic Society Hyjnoret, Albania
· Bangladesh Juduokar Parishad
· Budapest Magic Club, Hungary
· Club Magico Roma, Italy
. Suomen Magico Taikurit Ry, Finland
YES : 430. 97,71% NO : 5. ABS : 4
It will be represented in the General Assembly by 1 vote.
3) TAMA MAGIC SOCIETY, Japan
President: Seji ASAI
The society was founded in 2009, has 200 members and was supported by the:
· Magician Association of Hong Kong, China
· Society of Japanese Magicians
It is recognized by the AMA (Asian Magic Association).
It will be represented in the General Assembly by 4 votes.
YES : 430. 94,71% NO : 6. ABS : 3
FISM ASIA
Contrary to what I wrote in the December Newsletter, the next AMA Convention, which will host the FISM Asia Magic Championship, will not be held in Seoul, but in Incheon City. The dates are October 30th through November 2nd.
With a population of 2,9 million people, Incheon is South Korea’s third most populated city (after Seoul and Busan).
The members of the Asia Executive Board are:
