FISM EUROPE
The preparations of the FISM European championships (September 24 – 28, 2014), hosted by the French Magic Federation FFAP, are nearing completion.
Up to now there are approximately 310 registrants which means there is still room for about 250. However, if you intend to register, don’t wait too long, because the deadline approaches.
We were informed that the competing stage illusion acts will be invited to perform on Tuesday, September 23rd, the night before boarding. The show will take place in a theatre in Gémenos, a village 25 km. east of Marseille.
During the cruise a meeting of the General Assembly of the European delegates will be held. Candidates to organize the European Championships in 2017 are requested to inform the European board.

FISM RIMINI 2015
“AWARD VLADIMIR DANILIN” 25,000 US$
In a next newsletter I intend to give you a full update on the progress of the preparations, but there is one important announcement I’m very glad to make already now.
Mr. Vladimir Danilin, the Russian winner of the FISM Grand Prix in 1991 in Lausanne, Switzerland, offers to give an extra money prize of 25,000.00 U.S. dollars to the “best act” at the 2015 WCM. Conform to the statutes this offer has been accepted by the FISM Board of Directors after consultation with the Jury President who’ll have the final decision on whether the prize will be given to the winner of the Close-up or the Stage Competition.

MAGIC in RUSSIA
From September 13th to 15th, Mr. Danilin organizes the 3rd WHITE MAGIC FESTIVAL in Perm, Russia. In 2011 he showed that Perm, having been for many years one of Russian’s leading cities for Opera, Ballet and Theatre, can also take the lead when it comes to Magic. Last year the second edition of the Festival proved once more that the most Eastern of European cities is well on its way to become one of the foremost centres of our art.
As you can see on the poster, this 3rd edition again brings together some top minds and performers of magic from East and West.
